has a straightforward, no-nonsense yet engaging approach through the packaging and visual language.

In a market filled with tampons and 

sanitary napkins, we often overlook how they impact our environment, and the shift to a more sustainable option, a menstrual cup is too daunting for most women. Cove aims to bridge that gap and make affordable, safe, and chemical-free menstrual cups through a

no-nonsense approach with engaging visuals.

BRAND POSITIONING

The brand positioning of “COVE” menstrual cups are based on the idea of freedom of women as a result of self-care. With its sturdy, chemical-free, and latex-free structure, it is an easy, comfortable economical, and sustainable option as compared to pads and tampons. The brand design reflects the freedom of movement and the no-nonsense straight-forward approach with a sense of honesty. For the identity of the brand, I kept it simple, fun and straight-forward with a fresh minimal logo, vibrant colours, illustration, and packaging.

The map entails some of the competitor brands in the market and divides the brands' packaging according to the approximate pricing of the packaging and the kind of visual appeal (experimental or conservative). According to the map, COVE is a suitable fit for the value option with experimental and creative packaging.

Inspired by the feminine cove, the logo is a play on the woman anatomy. With its minimal approach to the typeface and visual, it reflects the contemporary and no-nonsense outlook of the brand. The vibrant colours lends a more muted yet engaging feel and helps it stand out against the other brands.

Riding the blood wave, the powerful feminine glides effortlessly overlooking the feminine cove. 

​

True to the brand ideology, the illustration strays away from the social norm of beautifying feminine products with flowers and pastel cool colours of pink, green, etc., and instead shows the real and honest approach with the colour palette. The vibrant colours lend an engaging feel and help it stand out against the other brands.
